Brookhaven provides a hands-on, academically purposeful learning environment where children can develop at a comfortable pace through direct experiences, social interaction and creative exploration.

Children Learn by Doing

Children learn best when they are actively involved. Our classrooms use concrete materials and direct experiences to help children build foundations for later abstract learning. Manipulatives, art materials, stories, dramatic play and exploration give children many ways to investigate ideas.

Whole-Child Development

Learning includes language, social, emotional, physical, intellectual and creative development. Children communicate through group activities and social play, practice problem-solving with hands-on materials, and strengthen fine-motor skills through painting, cutting, building and sensory activities.

Family Partnership

Children come first. We believe a quality early-childhood program works in partnership with the whole family and appreciates every child as a unique individual. Our goal is to support a smooth academic and social transition from one school year to the next.

A Caring Environment

Brookhaven's teaching style is loving, nurturing and non-pressured. Positive role models encourage kindness, responsibility and respect for others. Blessings are offered at snack and lunch, and Brookhaven welcomes families of all religions.

Our Commitment
